FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
3C Software Announces Agreement with TriQuint Semiconductor
3C Software, providers of the enterprise cost management
system, Impact:3C®, announced a software license and
professional services agreement with Hillsboro , Oregon
based TriQuint Semiconductor. TriQuint will use Impact:3C®
to calculate and report detailed product and process costs
for its Oregon and two Texas manufacturing locations.
TriQuint joins Xilinx, Cypress Semiconductor, AMD (Advanced
Micro Devices), Anadigics, Analog Devices, and SDL, Inc as
semiconductor manufacturers who have chosen Impact:3C® as
their cost management system.
TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc., (NASDAQ: TQNT) is a leading
worldwide supplier of a broad range of high performance
gallium arsenide (GaAs) integrated circuits. TriQuint's
products span the RF and millimeter wave frequency ranges
and employ analog and mixed signal circuit designs. They are
used in wireless communications, telecommunications, data
communications and aerospace systems. TriQuint offers both
standard and customer specific products as well as foundry
services. TriQuint's two operations, in Oregon and Texas ,
are both certified to the ISO 9001 international quality
standard. Expected to exceed $300 Million in annual revenues
for the year 2000, TriQuint Semiconductor was founded in
1985 at the Beaverton , Oregon laboratories of Tektronix by
a group who had undertaken the first GaAs research and
development work in 1978.
3C Software, founded in 1988, specializes in enterprise cost
management systems for process intense manufacturers. Their
software product, Impact:3C®, is currently running at over
350 manufacturing locations. A partial list of 3C clients
includes: PPG Industries, Pratt & Whitney, Mohawk
Industries, Russell Corporation, Champion International,
Cooper Tire & Rubber Company and Minnesota Corn Processors.
Impact:3C® is designed to handle the complex needs of
process intensive manufacturing industries like
semiconductor, chemical, metals, pulp and paper, textile,
glass, electronics and food processing. Complex issues such
as process yield/loss, product obsolescence/down grade,
multiple/alternate product routings, and engineering change
effective dates, as well as typical cost accounting
calculations like allocations, burden rates and process
throughputs, are easily handled by Impact:3C®.
Impact:3C's flexibility, driven by its object-oriented
design, allows each client to model their own unique
manufacturing process and cost methodology. The modeling
process does not involve source code change, so
implementations are much faster and much less expensive than
traditional software implementations. Impact:3C® models can
also be replicated for use in forward looking and "what if"
scenarios.
About 3C Software 3C Software, developers of Impact:ECS™ and Impact:3C®, was
