Domtar Inc Chooses 3C Software for US Operations
3C Software, developers of the enterprise cost system
Impact:ECS, announced a software licensing and consulting
agreement with Domtar Inc. The engagement’s focus, prompted
by Domtar’s 2001 acquisition of four Georgia Pacific mills,
is to implement a common cost management solution for its US
operations and build the basis for a common solution for all
operations worldwide. Domtar selected 3C Software and
Impact:ECS because of the long term and successful
relationship that the companies have shared at three
existing Domtar mills.
Domtar will improve its business decisions capabilities
through better accuracy, timeliness and detail by
integrating Impact:ECS with its current enterprise and mill
systems including SAP, OptiVISION, and PI. Impact:ECS will
closely integrate with SAP, including its Business Warehouse
tool for reports and analysis, allowing Domtar to leverage
the detailed cost information provided by Impact:ECS with
its current system architecture.

step with Domtar to enhance the organization’s costing
methodologies. The consultants’ industry and accounting
knowledge enables them to both assist in developing a common
costing methodology and grant Domtar the ability to make
