BP Fabrics and Fibers Revamps Cost Management System
3C Software has signed an agreement with BP Fabrics and
Fibers (BP Fabrics) in Austell , Georgia , to implement the
Impact:ECS Enterprise Cost System for its corporate and
manufacturing locations. With the project, 3C Software will
provide consulting, technical and industry expertise to help
BP Fabrics develop an automated approach for standard
costing and product information tracking for its five mills
located in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
BP Fabrics is moving away from its current mainframe systems
and creating a new approach to total business control for
the textile industry. As the standard costing solution,
Impact:ECS will integrate vital production and financial
information between commercial ERP and shop-floor systems to
produce meaningful, accurate and timely cost information.
The systems will serve as the product master responsible for
recording bill of material and routing information for all
BP Fabrics’ production processes. Using Impact:ECS as the
information bridge allows cost managers throughout the
organization to view, understand, analyze and forecast cost
data consistently across production facilities.
3C Software consultants will work directly with production
and cost managers from the textile producer to develop cost
models based on current business practices. The plant
rollout includes interface development for their SAP
enterprise system and relevant production systems to ensure
consistency across manufacturing locations. Once complete,
important manufacturing cost data will be available to cost
managers and business leaders for review and analysis on
their PC desktops.
