If you are looking for a technical consulting career at a growing enterprise software company, this position is for you. 3C Software (www.3csoftware.com) is expanding its team – we are looking for technical consultants with 2-3 years of experience interested in working for our professional services group. Our technical consultants work directly with our clients to customize and implement our flagship product, ImpactECS, for manufacturing companies around the world. We deliver value to clients by providing cost management software solutions for complex or process manufacturers. We work closely with manufacturers in a variety of vertical markets including semiconductor, food, pulp & paper, textile, steel and chemicals.

As a technical consultant, you will develop accounting models for use by finance, operations and executive groups who need access to detailed cost accounting information. During implementations, you will work closely with client teams to integrate ImpactECS with their existing ERP, mainframe or legacy systems. Ideally, the best candidates for this role have a passion for technical consulting and are looking for an environment where they can make a significant contribution to the team’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Write SQL queries on Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases to:

Extract, transform and load (ETL) data to and from existing systems
Create custom reports from existing and calculated data
Create, modify, delete and manage relational database tables
Enhance application calculations, forms and reports
Validate application results

  • Write Visual Basic or Java scripts to:

Load, extract or manipulate data from application objects
Enhance application calculations, forms and reports
Validate application results

  • Design and development of cost models and interfaces between ImpactECS and other systems
  • Design, develop, manage and optimize relational database schemas

Qualifications

Functional

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (Desired)
  • Proficient technical skills working with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (Required)
  • Programming experience in Visual Basic and/or Java Script (Required)

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2012

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS 2007 or 2012) Enterprise Edition

Excel Services
Performance Point Server

  • Ability to write SQL and create SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation and load (ETL)
  • Ability to design, create, modify and index SQL tables using SQL Server Management Studio
  • Ability to design and create OLAP star schemas
  • Ability to design and create SSAS OLAP cubes
  • Ability to secure OLAP data at both the database and application/presentation levels
  • Ability to install and configure SQL Server and MOSS to present multidimensional data on a dashboard in both tabular and graphical formats
  • Ability to design, create and administer SharePoint web sites

General

  • Software implementation experience (Desired)
  • General understanding of reporting solutions (Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SSRS, etc.) (Desired)
  • Knowledge of traditional ERP and MRP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, etc.) (Desired)
  • Must be self-motivated, work well in team environments and possess strong communication, presentation skills (Required)
  • Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident status. (Required)

Travel

Up to 80% travel (project dependent) to client locations in US and abroad
