Atlanta, Georgia
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has announced its selection of the Impact:ECS Enterprise Cost System for its newly acquired Hitachi Semiconductor Singapore wafer fabrication foundry located in Tampines, Singapore. The agreement between Chartered and 3C Software includes software licensing, consulting and maintenance for the eight-inch wafer fabrication facility. Impact:ECS will serve as the company’s standard costing system, providing analysis and reporting tools to the company’s cost managers.
As the world’s third largest foundry, Chartered is focused on delivering advanced technologies to its clients. The addition of this facility allows the company to meet the needs of existing customers and expand its customer base. The bulk CMOS logic wafer fabrication facility can produce approximately 24,000 eight-inch wafers per month at the 0.15-micron to 0.25-micron technology nodes.
“We’ve had a long-standing relationship with Chartered and we’re thrilled that Impact:ECS continues to meet their costing needs as their business requirements change,” commented Matthew Smith, President & CEO of 3C Software. “The selection of Impact:ECS for the Tampines fab highlights the importance of integrated and detailed cost data and our ability to grow with our clients.”
