Personalization’s Impact On Business Success

According to Hans Thalbauer, Senior Vice President of IoT and Digital Supply Chain at SAP Leonardo, a sluggish supply chain and lack of personalization of products are the two major disruptions that are affecting manufacturers today. Due to the rise of demand-driven supply networks, business success depends on fixing these two major issues. Thalbauer explains, “We need to be able to deliver within one hour, maybe even within 30 minutes … [so] I need to have a very clear understanding of the demand picture. It’s not only statistical forecasting; I use machine learning in the supply chain, [and] I use predictive analytics.”
