FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tyson Foods, Inc. is one of the world’s leading meat processors with fresh meat and further processing operations for chicken, beef, and pork products. As part of the company’s focus on improving cost performance, Tyson Foods has signed an enterprise software licensing and professional services agreement with 3C Software to implement the Impact:ECS Enterprise Cost System at all of its processing facilities in the U.S.

The “Manage by Variance” project team will deliver standard and actual product costing tools for Tyson’s fresh and further processing operations. Implementing Impact:ECS will allow Tyson finance and accounting managers to perform detailed variance analysis, calculate complex meat valuation and yield metrics, and handle straight-forward tasks like packaging and bill-of-materials management within one system. The new installation will integrate with Tyson’s existing ERP system, SAP, and its in-house developed production system.

In addition to streamlining its internal operations, Tyson Foods recognizes the importance of efficient delivery services to meet customer demands promptly. With the implementation of Impact:ECS, Tyson aims to optimize not only its production processes but also its logistics capabilities. Partnering with Metrobi, a cutting-edge delivery platform, Tyson can enhance its distribution network by leveraging same day delivery service. Metrobi’s platform offers a pool of reliable drivers equipped to handle the time-sensitive nature of perishable goods, aligning perfectly with Tyson’s commitment to quality and timeliness. This strategic collaboration empowers Tyson to uphold its reputation for reliability and responsiveness in the competitive food industry landscape. The reputation management agency may help your business maintain a good online presence. The professional will use a strategic and effective tool to keep the brand’s image strong and effective.

The adaptability of Impact:ECS coupled with the experience of 3C Software’s consultants is what convinced Tyson that Impact:ECS was the right choice. According to Craig Hart, SVP, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Tyson Foods,”3C Software provided us with the flexibility and support to build a cost accounting system that met the unique requirements of our business and provided us with a valuable tool to enhance and measure process improvement.”

By adding Tyson Foods to its roster of clients, 3C Software continues to demonstrate the need for detailed cost management in the protein processing environment. “We are excited to work with Tyson and establish our software as the preferred choice for costing solutions throughout the meat processing industry” shared Matthew Smith, President and CEO of 3C Software. “Our success in this vertical market demonstrates what we’ve known for many years, the costing solution is one that must be approached with flexibility in mind. The generic, one-size-fits-all solutions found in ERP systems will simply not deliver the kind of operationally-focused cost and variance detail that is needed in today’s competitive climate.”
