Clearwater Paper Selects ImpactECS for Paperboard Division

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Clearwater Paper, the sixth largest tissue manufacturer in North America, is aligned in three divisions – consumer tissue products, wood products, and bleached paperboard. The $1.3 billion company headquartered in Spokane, Washington, has selected the ImpactECS Enterprise Cost System as its costing platform for the pulp and paperboard division.

The project will focus on calculating actual grade costing for each grade run. ImpactECS will connect data from existing JD Edwards, Pi and SQL database systems to seamlessly cost products from the paper machine to the dock. In addition to costing, ImpactECS will provide the Clearwater team with tools to analyze scenarios to trend run costs and perform direct comparisons between runs to make more informed operational decisions.

“We’ve had lots of success in the paper industry over the years and we’re excited to have Clearwater join the list of ImpactECS customers,” shared Scott Adams, 3C Software’s Director of Sales. “The culmination of our experience in this vertical market will allow us to deliver a highly-functional costing solution that will provide the insight needed for Clearwater to remain competitive.”
